Our Story

“Light is my inspiration. My photographic images search for dimensions that words cannot touch- the result of intense responses to personal experiences. I do not wish to "record," but rather to touch upon the illusive meanings which I perceive and try to comprehend in this limitless universe.”

…it all started with a clean room

When I was five, I would take my mom’s Canon point-and-shoot camera, dress up my stuffed animals in my parents' robes, and carefully pose them for photos—after making sure my room was spotless, of course. I’ve always been an observer, captivated by people, light, and the way a story unfolds in a single frame. That curiosity led me to a career in photography, where I’ve spent over 20 years redefining what photography means to me. It has allowed me to truly capture the beauty, strength, and essence of my clients.

After college in 2005, I moved to NYC, working for a fashion photographer and later as a professional retoucher for top brands. Being behind the scenes felt safe, but I missed the connection that comes with photographing people. In 2012, after losing my job, I finally took the leap into professional photography. It started with a few boudoir sessions for friends, but my own self-doubt held me back—until one day, it clicked.

I truly understood the power of being seen when I became a mother. As a single mom, I realized that if I didn’t step in front of the camera, my children would have no record of me in their lives. That moment changed everything. Recently I had my hair and makeup done by my team member, Nikki, and took a self-portrait. When my six-year-old saw the image, she said, “Mama, you look so pretty.” And for the first time in a long time, I truly felt it. That’s when I knew—every woman deserves to see herself through a lens of love.

Regardless of how you think you’re showing up, the people who love you see your strength, your beauty, and your impact. I’m here to reflect that back to you. Let me show you the version of yourself that is bold, radiant, and completely captivating.

Honestly? I didn’t think this was the path for me.

Growing up, I loved watching my mom do hair, makeup, and nails, she was so creative with her hands. But early on, I saw how easy it was for people to overlook the value of this work, and it made me question if this path was really for me. So for a while, I stepped away.

But God always brings you back to what’s meant for you.

I started doing weddings on the side and eventually got my cosmetology license. At first, I thought I’d open a salon—but deep down, that didn’t feel like the right fit. My heart is in the energy and excitement of runways, photo shoots, and commercial sets. I love it. The vibe, the creativity, the people—there’s nothing like it.

It’s more than just a job to me. I believe this is a blessing—using my God-given gifts to bring out the natural beauty in others. We are all so unique, and I think it’s important to remind people: You’re not just another face in the crowd. You are a masterpiece. You’re already beautiful—I just get to help you see it.

And the best part? Every set, every face, every moment is different. I get to meet the most incredible people, step into new environments, and share a little joy in someone’s life. That’s what I love most about what I do.
