Transformative Portraits for Women

Embracing Your Journey in 2025

The start of a new year always feels like a blank canvas—a chance to look back on where we’ve been and dream about where we’re headed. This year, I’m stepping into 2025 with a renewed focus on celebrating women and their stories through Transformative Portraits for Women in Charlotte, NC

Whether you’re in your 40s and thriving, or navigating the delicate balance of joy and grief, your story matters. It’s worth documenting, honoring, and holding close.

Fearless Over 40: Celebrating the Women Who Inspire Us

I’ve always believed there’s something magical about women over 40. There’s a confidence and a wisdom that only comes with time, and it deserves to be seen and celebrated. That’s what “Fearless Over 40” is all about.

This isn’t just about taking your picture—it’s about capturing your essence, your story, and your strength. It’s about showing you how the world sees you: beautiful, powerful, and inspiring.

I’ve worked with so many women who come into the studio unsure of what to expect, and they leave seeing themselves in a completely new light. That’s the magic of this work—it’s not just about the final portrait, but the journey to get there. If you’re ready to step into your own power, Transformative Portraits for Women is a great way to celebrate your story.

I am 1 in 4: A Portrait Project Honoring Resilience After Loss

This year, I’m also working on a deeply personal project focused on miscarriage and child loss. As someone who’s walked this path, I know how isolating it can feel. But I also know the healing power of storytelling.

Through this project, I want to create a space for women to honor their journey and find strength in their stories. Portraits can be a powerful way to capture that—whether it’s for yourself, your family, or simply to say, “This is part of my story, and it matters.”

Pictured here is Monica, she was part of my original project “40 over 40” in 2021 in Colorado. Her story is unique as she was celebrating herself through portraits as a woman who just turned 50, but also honoring the loss of her son at a young age. Not everyone experiences life in the same way, but stories that illuminate life can help other heal in their own journey. My goal through these transformative portraits for women are to not only reduce the stigma that comes with aging and child loss/miscarriage but to create community and healing through the power of portrait photography.

What’s Your Story in 2025?

As I reflect on what’s ahead, I’m so excited to work with women who are ready to embrace their stories, whether they’re celebrating a milestone, finding their way through loss, or simply stepping into their own power.

Every portrait session is unique because it’s about you. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, celebrated, and beautiful. This isn’t about fitting into a mold or following trends—it’s about capturing the real you, in all your complexity and beauty.

So, what’s your story this year? I’d love to help you tell it.
